Like the automotive range, these batteries feature special computer aided design and manufacturing for more durability – being suited for heavy duty usage in buses, tractors, line haul trucks, off-road equipment and marine. Many contain premium “deep pocket envelope separators” to extend service life, genuine calcium lead alloy for longer waterless operation, anchor locked elements with radial grid, tightly packed plates to resist vibration, and tough polypropylene cases to resist breakage and extend service life. While mostly maintenance free, these batteries are designed to be accessible for servicing in the unlikely event of water depletion due to severe usage - which is a major plus for the owner.
